Moon and Venus over Helsinki University (original size, 1.0 Mb)

I was going home after a lecture when I noticed some pretty lights in the sky; of course I had to take a picture. The result isn't as perfect as it could've been, but pretty good for a first try. What comes across pretty well is how incredibly bright these lights are, shining over both the last glow of sunset on the horizon and the city lights below.

This picture was stacked from five original frames. No other digital processing has been done. The original pictures were taken with a Canon PowerShot A70 digital camera, held against a fencepost for a 0.3 second exposure per frame (no tripod, sigh).
